My second group for eveningwear.
We have the theme of Paris from 1910 to 1920. We had to be inspired by art, fashion, events, etc. from Paris in the time period. We had a color story of mint green, coral, cream, and black. We could also use antique gold for trim, beads, etc.
My inspiration for this group was the cubism art movement, I chose Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Stair Case" as the piece to be inspired by. The cubism movement was very shocking when it first started appearing in the saloon shows back then. No would could really understand it and the Academy still taught the traditional classical way of art. But cubism did become a noted art form during this time period.
I chose cream and black because the color combination seemed to work with my inspiration.
Drawn in pencil and outlined in ink. Colored with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils on 14X17" Bristol board.
